Ardbeg Uigeadail L8

Does anybody know why does Ardbeg give their single malts such unpronounceable names!?!

Anyway the lake of water in the photograph is Loch Uigeadail and it supplies Ardbeg distillery the fresh water for all its whiskies. Tonight I will drink a single malt whisky that is named after this loch. My bottle is from 2008 but this whisky has no age statement. The label on the packaging box also says the whisky was vatted with some of the distillery's old sherry casks. I suspect these casks were from the 1970s.

Colour: Deep gold. Burnt caramel.
Aroma: Smoke infused with raisins. Fresh scallop sashimi. Some cocoa powder. Brand new rubber basketball. A slam dunk!!
Taste: Meat sauce. Reminds me of braised chicken feet from a Cantonese dim sum restaurant (all the smashed garlic, salted black beans, sugar, chillies and pepper).
Rating: 89/100

This is a rich-flavoured whisky! Chewy on the mouth and syrupy too. 'Oog-a-dal' will taste nicely with a dim sum lunch buffet.
